A few words from our founder

Before reading Altroo’s privacy policy, I want to say a few words. My name is Łukasz Jeziorski, and I am the founder and CEO of PlumResearch. A company that collects and analyzes data for the entertainment industry. Movies and series loved by millions were created thanks to our work and it is truly gratifying to cooperate with the most prominent companies in the film & media industry.

At the same time, working with data for all those years let me reflect on contemporary media, the Internet, security, and privacy. It is said that if you are getting a free product, you are the product. That is how the internet works. There is no hiding from it. Your data is of real value. Your data is currency. And although this knowledge is quite common, we still aren’t sure how to proceed with it.

I want to change that. Because I believe there is a way to fair data acquisition. That’s why we have created Altroo, the honest browser.

I want o to raise awareness among Altroo users of how their data is gathered, its value, how it is monetized, and to give them control over money earned from measuring their behavior.

Sounds idealistic, right? I am aware of that, especially since the current research solutions are not attractive enough to offer the user an appropriate reward for their contribution to data collection.

That’s why as Altroo, we found our own solution. We decided not to reward our users outright. Instead, we decided to support the goals that are important to you. We decided to turn the value of your data into real help.

How it’s working? While using the Altroo browser, if you consent to our collection of data and thus online behavioral research, we will pay 80% of the amount obtained in this way to a charity goal you chose. If you do not agree to share your data, nothing happens. You still have a convenient and fast browser.

We want to be fair. We want to work with your data in complete transparency. And we want to help others - with you and thanks to you.

Łukasz Jeziorski
